Electronic trading risk management is a team of 5 that is part of the IED Risk Management team. The team works with the multiple teams to:
Provide Business Ownership of Trade/Regulatory Reporting associated with traditional and electronic trading activities
Improve and monitor existing control frameworks for Electronic Trading Platforms/Applications or create new control frameworks if none exist
Centralize discussions between IED, Risk Mgt, Legal, Compliance, and Technology as they relate to broad reaching topics
Provide subject matter experts and decision makers as it relates to interpretation and understanding of trading, regulatory and exchange rules
Coordinate IT development/enhancements with Product Groups as it relates to turnovers required to address trading, regulatory and exchange rules
Skills Required: Commercial/ Business Orientation
An understanding of the wider context is necessary to ensure that appropriate solutions are generated which consider protection of the Firm's franchise and effectively manage the risks across the trade plant & products.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across teams & functional boundaries with conflicting priorities, hence good client skills are essential.
Liaise with Compliance and Desk colleagues at all levels and extract business requirements in a structured manner.
Communicate requirements to IT, business users and project partners, e.g. legal and compliance.
Evaluate and negotiate the balance between delivery of business requirements, risk and resource constraints.
Functional Knowledge
Strong technical and analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows is mandatory. These skills should be coupled with a creative, flexible and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Knowledge & experience of cash equity and/or equity derivative products is required.
