Senior North Africa focused banker required for debt fund.
Our client is one of Africa’s largest independent debt funds with R1 billion under management. They are currently raising their 2nd mezzanine fund.
Our client wishes to recruit a high level deal maker who will be responsible for investing the North African allocation of the fund (approximately one third) in companies meeting the fund's robust investment requirements.
The likely candidate will speak Arabic and French and will be of North African/Middle Eastern origin, ideally with prior experience in structured finance (ideally focused on leveraged finance) and a strong track record of originating deals in North Africa.
The hire would join as a partner in the Fund, would be offered a substantial carry participation along with a competitive $-based salary/bonus package and be likely based in the South of France.
