An outstanding opportunity has arisen within this UK centric small to mid-cap private equity fund. Having recently closed a fund for the London and S.E. market, they are now seeking an exceptional individual to join the business as an Investment Manager.

CLIENT / ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client has offices throughout the UK and until recently had not fully entered the London and South East markets. Our client’s expertise lies within investing in distressed businesses and a range of turnaround situations. They take majority stakes in firms with enterprise values of up to £50m and work with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency.

This firm is ideal for a top class finance professional seeking a very active and highly entrepreneurial platform. You will work directly with the London Partner who has many years of turnaround and investing experience from top tier organizations.

The suitable candidate will have between 3 and 7 years of professional experience and ideally some of this will be in an investment environment. A corporate recovery or restructuring background is highly important as is familiarity with the UK small and mid cap London/S.E. markets. Candidates may also come from an Investment Banking M&A division, but again you will likely have had strong UK and small to mid-cap market exposure. Above all, the most important characteristic is your ability to gain credibility with people quickly. Soft skills and resilience in a fast-paced environment are key to success in this business.

As well as the aforementioned requirements, it is essential that applicants have outstanding academic and professional credentials including a minimum 2.1 degree from a top university, ideally a professional qualification (e.g. ACA/MBA), and outstanding financial modeling and technical skills.

If you feel you meet the criteria specified above, and ONLY if you genuinely do meet the criteria outlined, please send your CV and cover letter to nick.goff@one-search.co.uk.

We will endeavour to get back to you regardless of your candidacy.
