We’re the only fully established M&A strategy group within Deloitte, combining the skill set of strategy consulting with the dynamic growth market of M&A/Private Equity. We’re growing fast with plans to set up commercial due diligence teams regionally & in continental Europe.  This means that there are multiple promotional routes to Partner in both the UK and Europe.
 
You’ll benefit from being part of a growing tightly knit team with a boutique culture backed up by the resources of a big 4 firm. This stems from us being formed by the entire team of Burlington Consultants, so you’ll be part of the leadership team being seen as a “go to” person for a range of strategic techniques.
 
At the intersection of Strategy Consulting & M&A
 
We’ve close relationships with all of the Private Equity Firms working across industry sectors. It’s not surprising that you’ll win new business and lead pan European projects which have good deal flow and high volumes of transactions on the buy & sell side. This means you’ll have immediate client impact and maximise revenue generating opportunities.
 
Just as important, you’ll develop your breadth & depth of experience not only in CDD work but also in other M&A services. In addition you can leverage expertise from other areas of the firm such as financial due diligence, tax, risk & corporate advisory.  That’s why you’ll be able to be creative & innovative in developing new work streams & methodologies.
 
Most of our Commercial Due Diligence work is carried out in London. So you can have a better work life balance without too many travel constraints.
 
The role involves:
  • Preparation, management and delivery of engagements
  • Managing whole assignments. This includes liaison with clients and other parties, leading the approach and thinking of the team, and directing key individuals within the team 
  • Involvement in business development and marketing activities to initiate and maintain contact with target companies
  • Developing relationships and revenue generating activities with clients
  • Coaching and support of team members
  
?         Relevant experience in a top strategy consulting firm; this experience would include working in M&A and commercial due diligence
?         Ideally MBA qualified or equivalent work experience
?         Proven ability and confidence to develop clients and sell work
?         Ability to write, structure and present client ready work
?         Multiple case team management experience
?         Excellent analytical skills
?         Excellent people development and leadership skills
?         Commercial acumen, ideally with a sector specialism
?         A second European language would be advantageous
?         Full travel mobility
