Our client is a major investment bank, and they have an exceptionally well rated equity research franchise. They are now looking to add an Associate, who will work on the coverage of oil and gas companies.
The position will focus on the generation of investment ideas in both upstream/ downstream oil and gas/ exploration companies and marketing those ideas to your hedge fund and institutional clients.
• Writing detailed and thought provoking research on the companies under coverage
• Speaking with company management to keep abreast of any developments,
• Financial modelling, valuations and analysis; keeping information on companies up to date for the team
• Assisting the team with any ad-hoc work. This is most likely to involve client requests,
Qualifications
The successful candidate may have a background of one of the following
- ACA with a big four firm
- Equity research professional,
- Investment banking or capital markets professional looking to make the move into equity research
- CFA qualified professional
- Management consultant with strong modelling skills
- Business analyst from an oil and gas company
- Able to demonstrate drive and commitment to pursuing career in Equity Research
