The Enterprise Application Finance Practice assists clients in finance transformation underpinned by ERP technology.  These applications provide solutions in Financial Management and Human Resources Management. Our Services include assisting clients in assessing the software’s fit to their needs, configuring the application and implementing the software.
 
We are looking for people to work in multi disciplinary project teams that deliver exceptional value for clients realising benefit from their finance ERP solutions.
 
It is vital that the candidate is happy with the concept of using their experience to date to help on projects where they may not have experience of the specific ERP technology being implemented .
 
The primary focus of the role will be working on client projects. You will be expected to lead project activity staffed by Deloitte and/or the client.  As is the nature of project work you will be required to perform a wide range of activities, this could include though is not limited to:
 
?           Business case definition of approach and preparation
?           Supplier selection
?           Implementing Finance system’s standard processes
?           Coordination and documentation of internal processes
?           Requirements gathering/analysis workshops
?           Solution design
?           Set-up and coordination of user testing
?           Production configuration and hand-over
?           Development of finance process training material
?           Delivery of training to new and experienced users
?           Coordinating pre- and post-go live activities
?           Onsite go-live support
?           Systems improvements and extensions
We would expect candidates to have the following competencies and experience:
 
Finance ERP Implementations:
  • Experience of at least three phases of finance implementations on different projects. 
  • Knowledge of the technologies or modules that underpin at least two of the following financial processes:
    1. Account to report
    2. Procure to pay
    3. Order to cash
    4. Acquire to dispose
    5. Hire to retire
    6. Projects and contracts
 
Management effectiveness:
  • Comfortable to work on activities where initially the scope and requirements are unclear
  • Able to lead a team of more junior staff to deliver against the requirements of our clients
  • Able to manage and mitigate project risk and effectively escalate them where required
 
Sales and Communication:
  • Ideally have experience of preparing sales material leading to the development of a bespoke client proposition.
  • Understands the business reasons behind a finance transformation based on an ERP platform.  Able to convert these reasons into a business case rationale.
 
Although not essential it would be desirable to have had experience in one or more of the following industry areas:
 
  • Financial Services;
  • Telecommunications, Media or Technology
  • Public Sector
  • Consumer business
 
In addition, applicants should also be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills as this role involves extensive client contact.
 
Candidates should be qualified to degree level or have equivalent experience, ideally having achieved upper second class.
 
MBA, ICAEW, CIMA or other relevant professional body would be advantageous .
